Upload Submission Information

2026 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Submissions began on November 1, 2025 and closed on December 31, 2025.

Aloha! We are excited to accept your digital submissions. To make things easier during the WeTransfer uploading service, you will want to gather all of your digital materials on your computer or device. See the video tutorial for using WeTransfer.

Once you have your materials gathered and in labeled folders, open up your internet browser and paste or type in the WeTransfer link. Hereʻs the link: https://hara.wetransfer.com/

Youʻre going to click on “add your files” and select your first submission folder. You can upload up to 20GB per submission.

Then you will add your email address. Next in the message box, add the category of this submission, the title, and artist name. Then hit transfer. Do not leave the page until you see that the transfer is complete. It will say “youʻre done!”. If you close your browser before you see this, it may not complete the upload. Make sure you wait to see the confirmation that your transfer was completed. You can then add another submission if you have more entries to submit. Again you have 20GB per transfer and you must submit a new WeTransfer upload per entry. If for some reason the files are larger, you can create a zip file and upload it that way.

Each entry form you submit must have its own submission materials.

For example, if you have a song that appeared on your album but is also eligible for Single of the Year (based on it being released as a single at least 30 days before the album), you must also enter it using the Single of the Year submission form, include an archive with its audio or graphics files and any other required materials, and pay a separate entry fee. We recommend placing the submission materials for each entry in separate folders because you will have to upload these materials for each corresponding entry.

Review what materials are needed for each category via the guidelines above. Please prepare your submission materials in the following formats:

Your release’s audio files should be prepared as MP3 files. Every track on your release should be submitted in this format.

Songs you are submitting for consideration for an Engineering Award should be prepared as WAV files, 44.1k, 16 bit resolution. Please submit a file in this format even though you may have also submitted the track as an MP3 file.

Video files you are submitting for consideration for Music Video of the Year should be prepared as MP4 files.

Graphics, Liner Notes, and lyrics/translations/narrative for Haku Mele entries should be prepared as PDF files.

Your release’s cover for TV broadcast – MUST be sent  1 MB in size.

Only human creators are eligible to be finalists for or win a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award Award. Works generated entirely by artificial intelligence (AI) are ineligible in any category.  However, works that incorporate AI-generated material may still be considered if the human authorship component is meaningful.

Mahalo nui for your Mele and good luck!
